Free Webinar: Healthcare Professionals on “Whole Horse” Treatment
A free webinar will help horse owners select and work with specialists and equine health professionals.
“The Whole Horse Approach – how you can help equine health professionals work together to support your horse” is the latest in World Horse Welfare’s popular Welfare Wednesday webinar series, which had a break in the middle of the winter season.
The final webinar will host a team of equine health professionals to talk about how they work together to treat the horse as a whole. Importantly, they will also explain how owners and caregivers can be sure that the professional they are using to help our horse is the right one.
Veterinarian Lucy Grieve will explore the types of allied professionals who can be chosen to help treat horses and the central role the veterinarian often plays. She will be joined by Farrier Rebecca Lowe AWCF, Registered Physiotherapist and Veterinarian Kate Stephens and Equine Dental Technician James Arkley.
Speakers will discuss the complementarity of their roles and highlight what owners and caregivers need to consider when deciding which specialists to use. They will also explain what checks to make before allowing anyone to treat our horses.
” Register for “The Whole Horse Approach – how you can help equine health professionals work together to support your horse”, on January 26 at 7 p.m. (GMT). The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session where viewers will have the opportunity to “ask the experts” any questions they may have. The webinar can also be viewed as a Facebook Live session.
