RMAI will host a webinar on the emerging role of technology in the redistribution of consumer goods and services in rural areas
The series, Decade of Change, has discussions and deliberations about the changes the country has witnessed over the past decade. Sessions are shifts in various verticals like fintech, media, retail, agriculture, among others.
Rural consumer markets have undergone significant changes over the past decade. Whether it is how rural consumers have evolved, the behaviors of chain members have changed, and how marketers have used technology in rural markets.
The Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI) will host a roundtable on June 4, 2022 (from 4 p.m.) to discuss these nuances for the benefit of a wider set of marketers of consumer goods and services. The topic would be “The emerging role of technology in the redistribution of consumer goods and services in rural areas”.
The panel discussion will be moderated by Sanjay Panigrahi, former Chief Account Officer, Pidilite Industries; & Member – National Advisory Board, Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI). Panigrahi is a professional with over 38 years of experience.
With an undergraduate MBA from the Institute of Rural Management (IRMA: 80-82), he has a diverse background in general management, marketing, sales, distribution, new business development and organizational development, including management P&L responsibility; and he had been handling the CXO sequel roles for nearly two decades.
His last assignment was as Chief Client Officer of Pidilite Industries Ltd, from where he retired in May 2020 and has been on his own coaching, mentoring advising professionals and organizations with a rich repertoire of ideas and of experience he has had during his career spanning multiple organizations. , roles, geographies and various industry segments in consumer products and consumer services.
The panel discussion will feature prominent speakers such as Manoranjan Pani, Chief Managing Director, GCMMF Ltd. (Amul); Nikhil Kaul, COO, Last Mile Channel Enhancement (LMCE); & Shabbir Haider, Rural Affairs Manager, Mondelēz International, who will add their experience and insightful learnings from many years in the field.
