JAMMU, January 20: The Department of Mass Communication at Gandhi Memorial College of Education hosted a one-day webinar on “Career Opportunities in Journalism”.
Dr. Bachha Babu, Head of Department, and Dr. Archana Kumari, Assistant Professor, Mass Communication and New Media, Central University of Jammu, were the keynote speakers.
Dr. Bachha Babu highlighted the role of regional portals and YouTube in the current media trend. He also highlighted job opportunities in mobile journalism, data analytics content writing, and OTT.
Dr. Archana Kumari focused on the use of You Tube channels, graphic design, mobile journalism, PRO and communication for development.
While welcoming the guests, Satish Talashi Principal GMCEJ informed that this is the first and only private J&K institution that offers a three-year course in mass communication and multimedia production.
Nearly 50 participants took part in the webinar.
